Kids have all kinds of thoughts that they just say without being concerned about being judged. Most adults would not be brave enough to do that.
"I'm having bad thoughts, said Camilla." "What can I do about them?"
These were Camilla's words to me during the school day.
"How about we read the bible and find out what God says, as he can help us with this", I replied.
Camilla did read the bible. She also chose to be in a discipleship program diving deep into the book of John. This gave her lots of answers to her problem of having bad thoughts. Camilla found God and surrendered her life to him. Knowing Jesus died on the cross and took on her sin and shame, she trusted him with all her life thoughts, and future. Camilla is now leading a bible study with other girls in her grade and sharing with them answers to questions they are bravely asking.
Inquiry and wonder in children give opportunity to see a living and active God who wants to have a relationship with us.
